The Olympics have started and to show our support of Team Canada we are asking that on these next two Wednesdays you wear Canada spirit wear.
Anyone interested in going to the Canadian International Auto show in Toronto on Feb 22 Please see Mr. Etten for permission forms. The cost of the trip is $35, which covers the bus and entry to the show. Please note we will not be back in time for the buses.
Clubs and Activities
Professional Theatre Company Carousel Players is doing a play on Weds Feb 14 in the drama room period 2. The play called "This Will Excellent” follows the story of two young characters who are having trouble with Academic Performance. The play has a cast of four, including a DJ creating original music live on stage. and features live rap music. Tickets are 10$. Anyone interested in viewing the play, is asked to see Ms. Benson in the drama room. You will need a form and permission from your period 2 teacher. No admittance at the door - all tickets must be purchased by Tuesday at 2:30pm. See Ms. Benson in the drama room for more information at lunch today! Seating is limited - tickets will be sold on a first come first served basis. Only 25 tickets left!

A belated congratulation goes out to the ELC swim team for their performance last week at SOSSA. No disqualifications across any of our events on a day when officials were definitely looking for infractions, is a big deal. A special thank you goes out to Julia R. for coaching this season. Swimmers are reminded of their team picture tomorrow at the start of lunch--bring your towels!
Congrats to the ELC Novice rowers who competed on Saturday at the Denis Morris Novice sprints in St. Catharines. The mostly grade 9 rowers competed against other novice rowers from across the Niagara Region. ALL showed up, raced their hearts out, and completed the challenging race. Despite some inclement weather, in true blue and gold spirit they made their way to the ring (inclement weather is old hat to a Cyclone!!!)
Top 5 finishers in each weight class category received a ribbon and medalists a honorary t-shirt.
