A great big congratulation goes out to the grade 12 Law students that participated yesterday in Crossley's first ever Mock Trial tournament at the St. Catharines courthouse. There were six high schools from the Niagara Region that competed in this tournament. Crossley did very well in both of its opening rounds. One as the prosecution against Blessed Trinity and the other as the Defense against Sir Winston Churchill. They were then placed in the tournament's Finals where they once again came up against Sir Winston Churchill, but this time as the prosecution, a much more challenging role for this particular case. It was a very close match and of the three judges, 2 voted for Churchill and one vote for Crossley, getting them the silver medal for the tournament. Congratulations goes out to.... Lily P., Veja L., Abbey P., Ronnie S., Ethan G., Grace S., Jared Y. and especially to Ben T. who was selected as the best overall lawyer for the tournament.
