Students in peer leadership and support are undertaking two school for community initiatives. The first is a bake sale taking place in the main foyer to support Women's Place. May 8th to 10th. We are making this effort to coincide with the start of Mrs. Mergl's Survivor clothes pin game. By supporting both, you are donating your money to Women's Place, an organisation that helps women and their children who have been in abusive situations.
Bid for Breakfast. As you may or may not be aware, we recently had the passing of one of our teachers, Mrs. Standish. A trust fund has been set up to help her three children at the TD bank. We would like you to collect money in your first period class and contribute to this fund on behalf of the students at ELC. You make a bid with the money you collect. You donate that bid to the trust fund knowing that you will help support her three children as a kind gesture from our student body. The highest donated bid to be donated earns a pancake breakfast with a variety of toppings to choose from served to you by GPP 3O1 students. All bids will close May 18th with breakfast being served on May 23rd to the winning class.
