Sports
Yesterday EL Crossley hosted SOSSA for Jr boys Basketball. In the morning game, the boys played Denis Morris, and despite not having their best offensive stuff, trailed for most of the game.  However, they clamped down defensively in the fourth quarter, outscoring DM 19-2 for a 57-41 victory. The boys were led offensively by Noah M. with 14 and Samuel J. with 13 pts.

In the championship game the boys played Sir Winston Churchill. Like the morning game, our boys struggled to find an offensive rhythm and trailed by 17 pts. Again though, to the delight of the huge crowd, the team fought back and eventually took a 52-51 lead with 2 minutes left in the game. Despite their best effort, the boys couldn’t score again and lost 57-52. The team was led offensively by Adam K. with 16 and Noah M. with 14 pts. The coaches want to thank the players for committing to a long season and playing every game with true sportsmanship. Coach Minor is looking forward to beginning the offseason weight training and higher goals next year.

A reminder to all boys who played hockey this year, that if you want to order sweaters please see Mr. Lew at the beginning of lunch in room 312

The intramural hockey playoffs continue tomorrow with the grey team playing against the yellow team
