Attention to all students registered in a SHSM program. Please check your D2L accounts for information on 3 upcoming events where spots are limited. The first event will take place at Guelph University where you will attend two sessions of your choice. Amazing opportunities explained in D2L. The second event will take place at Brock University – again, you will choose 1 session to attend – these spots will disappear quickly- do not delay. The 3rd event happens in May and is for anyone who is interested in a career in policing. SHSM students get first chance at these events. A huge congratulations to the varsity girl’s hockey game on their zone final win against Cayuga Secondary School. The game was a tough battle between the equally skilled and competitive teams, but the Cyclones came out on top with a 3-2 victory over the Warriors. The game went into overtime, and four rounds of shootouts! A special shout out to our goalie, Tess B. who stood on her head, and Sam C. for the game winning goal! Ms. Weir & Mr. Hingley are so proud of everyone! Good luck to the girls at SOSSA today
Boys soccer: A reminder to all boys trying out for the varsity boys’ soccer team, there will be tryouts Wednesday and Thursday morning at 6:30am. See you bright and early!
Reminder to ALL rowers both experienced and novice of the mandatory team meeting tonight at 6pm in the Lecture Hall to discuss the spring season. Please bring yourself and at least 1 parent/guardian. Meeting will run on time and last 1 hour. Regatta Sport will be here from 4.30-6pm for team gear. And, a reminder that you need to attend practice first. Experienced at the tank and novices here at the school. Go blue and gold!
Track and Field: Are you interested in being the Track and Field team? Well sign up in the gym foyer. Anyone new to high school track and field there are many new events. Practices will start the 1st Monday after March Break and it will be indoors for the 1st week depending on weather. You must be present one of the 1st 2 days to get all informational packaging.
