Days of Significance:

International Day of Pink : Communities across the world unite in celebrating diversity and raising awareness to stop homophobic, transphobic & all forms of bullying

Reminder to all grade twelves that prom tickets are on sale this week at lunch–this is your last chance to pay your first deposit.  Only people who purchase the first deposit will be able to pay the second deposit on school cash online.  See Ms Yallup if there are any issues.  Don’t miss out on this milestone!

Are you in grade 11 and interested in medicine and the health sciences? Discovery Days in Health Sciences at McMaster University is an event for you! On Friday June 2nd you will have the opportunity to attend a dynamic keynote lecture, attend two interactive workshops and be involved with a career panel discussion. Participants gain a clearer picture of what it would be like to be a health professional by interacting with researchers, clinicians and educators in their real-life work setting.  To get more information on this opportunity please see Mrs. Varga in room 113 prior to the end of the day on April 13th.

CLUBS

Crossley for Christ is meeting again tomorrow at lunch. Bring a friend, enjoy a short devotional, a time for prayer and enjoy some great time in community in room 214.

Chess club meeting at lunch in Room 402. Be sure to come if you’re interested in signing up for the next tournament on April 28th.

The Competitive Mock Trial team will meet in Mrs Barber’s room today after school until 4PM.

SPORTS

There will be a girls softball practice tomorrow (Thursday) after school.  Please meet in room 103 at 2:15 pm.  If you are unable to make it, please make sure  you speak with Mr. Belding or Mr. Smith directly.  You can email either of them or visit them in person throughout the school day.  Please do not tell a friend to let them know. 

Track & Field - we are introducing relays today. Introducing hurdles tomorrow. Pole vault will be outside all week. All throwers are practicing everyday. Long and Triple jumpers will be in the pits on Friday.

To all Track & Field athletes your ZONE qualifying competition day has moved a day earlier to Monday May 15th, so you are still expected to have the same required practices in order for you to compete.

Reminder to all lacrosse players that our practices this week will be thur and friday after school–see you on the field.

ARTS

The last early morning Jazz Band Rehearsal is tomorrow morning at 7am in the music room. Next week we will have our rehearsals after school on Wednesday in the music room until 3:30pm. See you all tomorrow!
