Good morning Cyclones!!
A huge thanks of appreciation goes out to the Crossley Lacrosse team. You cleaned up the garbage yesterday without even being asked to.   Kristy and Pauline, our caretakers are so grateful and we are all so proud of the pride that you took in your school.  Thank you again.
Today is the 5th day of Mental Health Awareness Week. So far we’ve seen the enthusiasm and efforts that have taken place throughout the school, all in the name of mental health and ending the stigma around mental illness. Today’s action is “to think about a goal or plan on how to continue taking care of your mental health”. Write your goal down and consider sharing it with someone who can support you.Together, the students at EL Crossley can help create positive change in our community. Because when it comes to mental health, it’s important to support ourselves and each other.
Remember that if you need someone to talk to, our teachers, counsellors, social worker, school nurse and principals are here to listen.
Thank you to everyone for participating in this week’s Mental Health Awareness activities – Continue the momentum for supporting Mental Health! If you’re interested in being a part of Crossley’s wellness club you can speak to Carleen, Nurse Dana, Ms. Kiley or Mrs. Hutchinson!

CLUBS

Hey Crossley! Link Crew recruitment is starting for next year!!  We are looking for CURRENT Gr. 10 and Gr. 11 students to apply to be a Link Crew leader for September.  Next Monday and Wednesday there will be information sessions being held in the Lecture hall at Lunch time to let you know how to apply and all about our program.  We are looking for all sorts of leaders - most importantly we are looking for leaders who want to help make our school an even better place for EVERYONE!  Link Crew applications are now available in guidance.

SPORTS

Thanks to everyone for their support at our lacrosse buy in yesterday! Special thanks to the band, cheerleaders, Eddy Lou and of course our fans! Tough loss in the first game to the first place Simcoe team but we rebounded with a nice win against Myer in our second game of the day winning 9-5. Scorers for the day were Seth O., Reed O., Caleb W., Adam R., Josh P. ,Aaron J. and  Dylan P..
Thanks go out to Mr. Blanchard, Ms. Amadio and the athletic council for making this buy in happen.

Track and field athletes are reminded to check the board for their upcoming meet. Make sure all entries are correct. Also a reminder that we are having a mandatory track and field practice today after school.

There will be a girls softball meeting at lunch on Monday in room 112.  You must speak to Mr. Smith if you cannot attend the meeting.
