Grads - Voting for Valedictorian starts today.  Each graduating student can only vote once, so make sure to use your vote carefully to select the candidate that you think can speak on behalf of ALL graduates and can sum up the collective experience at ELC. Voting will close on Friday at noon - remember, you can only vote once!  The voting form is found in the Grade 12 D2L.  

Hey Crossley! Student council is making final preparations for Cyclone Day! On Monday June 5th our school will be going to Queenston Heights to have a day of fun in the sun. Enjoy a free pizza lunch, colour wars games and a school wide game of capture the flag. This year you will have the option of making your own team of people in your grade with whom to compete during the morning activities. To sign up your team (of up to 10 people) please see a student council member at lunch starting tomorrow. If you have not yet brought in your permission forms for cyclone day please bring those to your period 1 teacher - students on spare during period 1 are asked to bring their forms to Ms. Kropac in room 308.

CLUBS

Are you interested in planning school wide events like Semi formal and Cyclone day? Do you have great ideas for spirit weeks and want to gain leadership skills? Then student council is the place for you! Please see Mrs. Varga or Ms. Ranieri in room 113 or 308 to pick up nomination forms starting today. Completed forms are due to Mrs. Varga in room 113 before 2:15 on Tuesday May 30th. 

SPORTS

Congratulations to the Crossley rowing on their success over the long weekend at two regattas- the South Niagara Invite in Welland and the Stotesbury Cup in Philadelphia.  The team won a total of 14 gold medals at the Welland regatta and numerous silver and bronze medals as well. A total team effort on and off the water to bring success to the blue and gold.

Three crews attended the Stotesbury Cup regatta in Philadelphia, the largest high school regatta in the world with over 5000 athletes in attendance from across the USA and Canada. All three Crossley crews took top honours bringing gold back home. Gold medal winners were Alessio Perco, Lucas Riddle, Liam Shapland, James Cuff, Andy Nawrocki, Dario Cirello, Emma Goedhardt, Sarah Stacey, Emmy Darling and Juliette Freure. Well done- you have made all of us proud to be a blue and golder!  The national championship regatta is 10 days away and Crossley crews are busy preparing for the coveted championship medals.

Members of the Varsity Boys Baseball, you are reminded that you are released at 1:45PM today for your game at Welland Stadium. Please see Mr. Petro to organize rides. 

Attention members of the junior and senior boys soccer teams. Please bring your signed permission forms for Friday’s tournament to Mr. Shannon in room 301 ASAP.
