TODAYS NEWS

On Thursday June 1st, Crossley will be raising the pride flag. We ask that staff and students join us in supporting and celebrating the LGBTQIA2S+ community by wearing a button, sticker or clothing with a rainbow on it. 

On Monday June 5th Crossley will be going to Queenston Heights for Cyclone day! Please wear your colour wars to represent your grade in the morning. You will also need to bring a hat, running shoes, sunscreen, bug spray, a water bottle and extra snacks! If you don’t already have your team signed up for the morning events, please see a member of student council at lunch, or pop by room 113 to see Mrs. Varga. Those not already on a team, will be placed on one monday morning!

Hey Crossley - did you know that this year marks EL Crossley’s 60th Anniversary?  There is a reunion event planned for June 17th at the Meridian Centre.  However, before the event we are in need of student volunteers to help create some ideas for our celebration.  If you are in need of volunteer hours, please consult the announcement posted in the D2L class- Student Services.

Rankin Run: We will be participating in a Rankin Walk in support of cancer-care during Period 1 on Cyclone Day. We are encouraging all students to sign up and raise money for this important cause. Please ask your families to register you and donate through the link on our website. 

A reminder that Nomination packages for Students council are due to Mrs. Varga by 2:15 to room 113. You also need to have a completed permission form for our council retreat happening on thursday June 1st - see Mrs. Varga for more information!

If you won the class competition yesterday during period 1 and you did NOT claim your prize at lunch, please see a member of student council today at lunch at the spirit store located across from the main office! 

E.L. Crossley is offering extra homework and assignment help Tuesday and Thursdays. Mr. Yando and Mr. Leone will be working with students in the library afterschool today until 4 pm. This is a great opportunity to get additional support in any of your courses. Everyone is welcome! 

CLUBS

Crossley for Christ is meeting in room 214 today (not Thursday). Bring your lunch, enjoy a short prayer and bring a friend and enjoy some time in community. See you then.

The Oddity Film Society will be watching its last movie Thursday this week. The podcast will take place next week. 

Attention all Link Crew Leaders for NEXT YEAR - please go to your period one class and then head to the Lecture Hall at 9am.  Come ready to play!

SPORTS

Good morning all student athletes, coaches and supporters.  Please remember to get your Athletics Banquet ticket by this weekend on School Cash Online.  The Banquet will be on June 13th from 5 to 7pm.  Chicken Parm and Pasta are on the menu this year including Mr. Edwards famous ice cream and fruit table.  See Mr. Blanchard if you have any questions.
