Nearly 1500 years later - we’re still playing it - specifically, the Chess Club will be practicing it today in the Library at Lunch. Bring your lunch, a friend and your A-Game!
Hey Cyclones, the Squad is back! What is the squad you ask? The squad is a team of motivated individuals who want to be part of a team and help make E.L. Crossley a better place. The squad helps out around the school setting up for assemblies, parents nights, social events and even helping with tech around the school. Members of the squad also have the opportunity to gain volunteer hours. Your Jr Girls basketball team played last night here at ELC against our rivals the Centennial Cougars. It was a very chippy and physical game with both teams racking up the fouls. Your cyclones were down at half 14-11 before the flurry of 3s rain down and ELC took the lead. It came down to the final seconds where the Girls came through with clutch defense to win 27-25. The team is back in action again tonight at home against sir winston, come cheer them on!
Attention Jr Girls basketball players. There will be a brief lunch meeting in room 407.
Attention Jr. Boys volleyball players. Please meet in the small gym today at lunch for a brief practice ahead of our game later this afternoon at Sir Winston Churchill.
The girl’s hockey tryout from this week is cancelled, please see Ms. Yallup in room 318 asap to get the permission forms needed to get on the ice next week for tryouts.
Reminder to all boys lacrosse players of our field time tonight and tomorrow after school. See you in the field.
Reminder to the Cross Country team of the team Pasta dinner after practice today. Also, we have Zone tomorrow and the bus is leaving at 9. The novice teams are leaving at 8. Come today after school to pick up a pair of running spikes.
ATTENTION INTRAMURAL HOCKEY! Due to conflicting schedules, we are moving the team selection draft from Friday October 27th to lunch hour in the lecture hall on Thursday October 26th. Please see Mr. Lew or Mr. Blanchard if you have any questions.
ATHLETIC COUNCIL: Please see Mr. Blanchard or Ms. Amadio if you are available to scorekeep the basketball games today. We are missing 2 more scorekeepers for the games today, tomorrow and Thursday. You do not have to be on the Athletic Council to volunteer your time to scorekeep. Hours can also count towards your community hours.
