DAY OF SIGNIFICANCE:   

Today is International Pronouns day. Using someone’s correct personal pronouns is a way to respect them and create an inclusive environment. If you would like to make a bracelet with your pronouns on it then join us at lunch in front of the library to make your own.

Donut overload will be blowing into Crossley this Friday, as the Beechwood Donuts will be here for lunch in the front foyer. Don’t forget your money, they will disappear before you know it.

CLUBS

Broadway-Culture Club Reminder!  We will be resuming our viewing of the hit musical Hamilton tomorrow at lunch in room 207!  Be prepared for further tragedy, intrigue, rap battles, and of course, to see how Alexander Hamilton and Aaron Burr’s feud will continue to fuel both pride and rage during their fight for political dominance!  Bring your lunch, a friend and hopefully, your singing voice! 

Reminder that Crossley for Christ is meeting tomorrow at lunch in room 402. All are welcome. Bring a friend. Make some new friends. Enjoy a short prayer and a devotional by a peer.

DECA Business Leadership club is meeting today at lunch in room 209.

Interac Club will have a meeting in Room 303 today at lunch. Sorry for the last minute info! Interac Club is the largest leadership service organization for highschool students. We emphasize community service and give students opportunities to gain volunteer hours by participating with local charities. Our goal is to strengthen school- community relationships and give back to the area. All are welcome! 

Hey Cyclones, the Squad is back - What is the squad you ask? The squad is a team of motivated individuals who want to be part of a team and help make E.L. Crossley a better place. The squad helps out around the school setting up for assemblies, parents nights, social events and even helping with tech around the school.  Members of the squad also have the opportunity to gain volunteer hours.  If you want to be part of a group and make ELC a better place for everyone, come to a meeting in Mr.Lafferty’s room - room 207 today at lunch. It’s semi ticket time! You heard that right! Semi tickets are going on sale on Monday October 23 until Friday October 27th through school cash online. Semi will be held at club Roma on Thursday Nov 16 from 5:30-9pm. Dinner will be salad, pasta and caramel chocolate ice cream. Once again we will have an awesome Photo centre and DJ to have you dancing the night away! If you have any questions or concerns please see Mrs Varga in room 113 or Ms Ranieri is room 308

SPORTS

A big congratulations to the senior boys volleyball team on their impressive 3-0 win against Sir Winston Churchill last night. Shoutout to Keagan A. for the game winning point. The boys play next on Thursday night at AN Myer. Cheer on your boys as they continue in their undefeated season. The team is reminded that there will be a practice at 4 pm today.  

A big congratulations to the jr Girls basketball team on their win against Sir Winston. The cyclones showed amazing team play and shared the wealth with multiple girls scoring and playing hard D. The final score was 40-29. The team is back in action again today against the Eden Flyers here in the big gym at 3. Come out and cheer on your fellow cyclones! 

Congratulations to the Sr. Girls Basketball team on their win against Governor Simcoe. The team played an excellent game improving upon their team play, defense and communication. The final score was 31-14, come cheer us on tonight as we play the Eden Flyers at 4:30. Go Cyclones.
