Congratulations to Elizabeth K who performed at the Ontario Music Educator’s Conference as part of the Ontario Honour Band this past weekend. Not only did Elizabeth represent E. L. Crossley and the town of Fonthill, but she was also the only student from the Niagara Region to be part of this prestigious provincial band. 

Attention to all grade 11 and 12 students who wish to attend the University Fair at Brock university this Thursday.  Ms Cripps needs those permission forms brought to Guidance right now so to generate the attendance list for this event.  Please come to guidance with this form after announcements,

CLUBS 

The Oddity Film Society will be recording its podcast on Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan after school today. 

The Board Game club is hosting its annual Risk tournament beginning next week. Reserve your spot at a table by signing up in room 305. 

SPORTS

Congratulations goes out to Matt K who finished 56th in his senior boys cross country race at OFSAA on Saturday. Also congrats to the junior boys team of Griffin E, Logan M, Adam F, Jack R and Grant L who competed at OFSAA cross country on Saturday as well. 

Congratulations to all of the Crossley athletes that participated in the Learn to Row regatta on Saturday in Welland. Terrific work this fall getting out there on the water, learning the rowing stroke and building fitness and friendships. A fun first step towards the Crossley Rowing team, one of the largest teams in the school that competes in the spring against high schools from across North America. In preparation for the spring season, Crossley Rowing runs an indoor winter fitness program designed to have you ready for rowin and racin come April of next year. It is a well established program that has led to success on and off the water for many Crossley champions over the years. Join us on Tuesdays and Thursdays right after school here at the school starting next week- Tuesday, Nov 14. All newcomers are welcome whether you rowed this fall or not. You never know unless you go. Go blue and gold!

A reminder to the intramural hockey league that the Orange team faces the Green team today and the Blue team faces the Yellow team on Thursday.

A reminder for the Sr. Girls Basketball team that we have practice Tuesday after school. Come ready to work hard. If you cannot make please see Mr. Smith, Mr. Petro or Mr. Belding.
