Days of Significance:  

International Transgender Day of Remembrance-Begun in 1999, vigils,services and a variety of events are held to memorialize those who were killed due to anti-transgender hatred or prejudice.

Bullying Awareness and Prevention week-November 19-25. Ontario has designated the 3rd week of November as Bullying Awareness and Prevention week to help promote safe schools and a positive learning environment. Students, staff and parents are encouraged to learn more about bullying and its effect on student learning and well-being.

Sign ups for clothespin survivor starts today at lunch. Please find a student to ask questions that you may have regarding the game. Remember your $2 this week or donations if you are wanting to play.

CLUBS

E.L.Crossley is offering additional homework help every Tuesday and Thursday in the library from 2:30-4:00pm. Come visit Mr. Yando and Ms. DeSimone after school tomorrow and get some work done! Hope to see you there.

Attention all Yearbook Members! There will be a quick meeting today at lunch in Room 213. Come at the start of lunch to make some plans for this new yearbook!

Attention singers! Crossley Vocals will be rehearsing after school today in the music room beginning at 2:15

SPORTS

Attention Junior Boys Volleyball players. This is a reminder to please bring your jerseys and shorts back to Mr. Shannon in room 301 as soon as possible.

Reminder to the Jr Girls basketball team of their practice today after school in the big gym. The team will be away tomorrow playing for the Sossa championship. 

CONGRATULATIONS to the Sr. Girls basketball team! Friday’s challenge game showed the team’s determination as we took on a strong Dundas Valley team. The girls started the game with an 18-3 lead after the first quarter. The team played extremely well together, winning the game 47-26. With this win the team qualifies for OFSAA, we will be traveling to Guelph on Wednesday to take on our next challenge. Don’t forget to congratulate the girls on an excellent win. GO CYCLONES!

Attention all boys interested in trying out for the Jr. and Sr. Basketball teams, there will be an open gym tonight from 4:00 to 5:30. This is not an official tryout. Listen to announcements each morning for updates on tryout dates.  Please see Mr. Petro in room 406 if you have any questions.

A reminder to the intramural hockey league that the Orange Team faces the  Yellow Team today and the Blue team faces the Green team on Thursday.
