Today’s News

September 30th has been named National Day of Truth and Reconciliation. For the first time, this year, it is a federal statuary holiday. As a school community, we would like to set aside the 30th to honour all the children who survived residential schools, as well as honour and recognize those who did not return. September 30th also coincides with Orange Shirt Day. It is encouraged that on Thursday, September 30th, that our school community wear an orange shirt. More information to come on how we will reflect and recognize this important day. 

If you are taking the late bus home today, please come to the main office at lunch to sign up.

Reminder if you have not handed in your verification forms it is imperative you do it ASAP, if you do not have a verification form please come to the main office.

Hey cyclones! Did you know that student council has an Instagram account where you can stay up to date with crossley news? Here you will find spirit day info, exciting announcements and much more! You can find us @elcstudentscouncil that is @elcstudentscouncil. 

We are also excited to announce that friday is going to be our first spirit day and it is your first opportunity to earn points for colour wars! What is colour wars?
This is a school wide competition that involves ALL students in ALL grades!
Each grade will be competing to win points which will be tallied throughout the school year.  

So, on friday these are the colours you need to wear! 
Grade 9 - you are red 
Grade 10 - you are yellow 
Grade 11 - you are green and
blue for grade 12.

Student Council
If you are interested in being a part of student council this year there is an important meeting after school TOMORROW in the lecture hall. If you are unable to make the meeting please speak with Mrs Varga or Mrs  Ranieri. 

CLUBS
The Crossley Film Club is getting up and rolling again for this year, so if you are interested in making, watching and talking about movies, stop by room 305 sometime during your day for more details. Crossley film club in room 305. 

SPORTS
Attention to the junior boys’ volleyball team, you have a tryout today after school. Meet in the large gym as usual.
