Hello cyclones!
Today is National Taco Day and here at Crossley it is the first day of our spirit week! If you are wearing blue and/or gold you have earned a point for your grade in our Colour wars competition!
Teachers please count the number of students in your class, by grade, and complete the google form using the link in the ELC staffroom. If you have multiple grades in your classroom please complete the form more than once.
A reminder that tomorrow is tie dye Tuesday and Wednesday will be silly socks and sandals day! Don’t forget Wednesday is also Picture Day!
If you are taking the late bus home today, please come to the main office at lunch to sign up.
CLUBS
Attention Cyclones
Are you interested in Robotics?, RC vehicles or plastic model building? Then the Robotics, RC, model builders club is for you.
We meet on Wednesdays afterschool in room 103 from 2:15 to 4:15
If you are interested in joining the club, please see Mr. Lafferty in room 207 to sign up. Our first meeting will be Wednesday October 6th.
The Oddity Film Society will be viewing its first movie after school today. Since it’s October, let’s make it a spooky one: “Drag Me to …”.
Attention musicians- with rain in the forecast for today, we are postponing today’s band rehearsal until tomorrow(Tuesday) after school. We will meet tomorrow in the music room- rehearsal will run until 4pm.
SPORTS
Calling all cyclones and tumblers...Crossley Cheer Team is back! All are welcome! All students who are interested in being a part of this year's cheer team, please sign the permission to participate form posted on school cash online. Click OTHER when filling out the form. Our first practice will be on Wednesday, October 6, after school. If you have any questions, see Mme. Menchella-White and Mrs. Hutchinson.
Cross country:
See you at practice tonight. Make sure to pick up all the forms at practice in regards to races and the remainder of the practice schedule.
There will be a Jr. & Sr. Girls Basketball practice on Tuesday & Wednesday night after school. Please meet in the large gym. If you cannot make the practice, please see one of the coaches.
Friday was a beautiful day, a long time in the making, for Crossley Tennis. Your Cyclones went out and competed hard to make you proud. Not only were they complimented for their sportsmanship they also brought home some hardware.
Congratulations to the boys doubles Zone champs of Cole B. and George M. and SOSSA qualifiers in mixed doubles, Sofia S. and Sam R. Way to go team!
Seniors, please meet first thing at lunch today in the gym foyer for a team picture. Juniors, let’s see what you can do when given the opportunity this week! Practice today and Wednesday weather permitting.
