Oddity Film Society will be viewing ones
after school in the lecture hall to cap off Spooktober. It might be Jordan Band members heading to Canada’s Wonderland, are reminded of their important rehearsal after school today until 4PM. Bring your forms with you.
Fitness Club - Students wanting to workout this week can sign up in Rm 315 at lunch - only students who have signed up can enter the fitness rooms.
The Oddity Film Society will be watching Bong Joon-Ho’s Snowpiercer after school today in the lecture hall. Chris Evan’s beard is magnificent. And it’s a pretty good post apocalyptic action flick.

CONGRATULATIONS goes out to the 8 athletes who competed at OFSAA Cross Country on Saturday in Peterborough. They all had an amazing showing. Out of 165 to 185 runners in each race the Crossley runners all did outstanding. Matthew K. ran 5km and finished with a BRONZE medal, he was a hair away from SILVER, outstanding job Matt. The Novice Boys placed 5th as a team out of 21 teams in Ontario the team consists of Jackson S. placing 16th, Maxwell M. placing 27th, Ryan Z. 90th, Benjamin H. 109th along with Justin E.. Good job boys! Look forward to the next 3 years. Lauren F. placed 46th in the senior 6km girls race graduating with her 3rd showing at an OFSAA Cross Country along with Adam K. who placed 31st for the senior 6km boys race who also is graduating with his 3rd showing at an OFSAA Championship! Good job to all of the Cross Country runners.
Girl’s hockey tryouts will be starting tomorrow Nov 9th at 2:45, please arrive at the arena asap so you can be on the ice right at 2:45. Only girls who have paid the tryout fee and submitted their permission to participate forms will be allowed on the ice.
Novice rowers (those new to ELC Rowing) will begin practicing this week on Tuesday and Thursday after school. Practice begins at 2.20pm and we will meet in the athletic foyer for attendance (using your cell phone). Please come to practice dressed and ready to workout in proper workout attire including outdoor clothing as we will be doing some outdoor work. Running shoes are always needed. If you have not completed the Permission to Participate in ExtraCurriculars Form yet please go to the office and ask them to print it and then bring it to Coach Ruscitti at or before practice. If you have not signed up yet or have questions please email or see Coach Ruscitti in Room 206. Go blue and gold!
Attention to the junior boys volleyball team. You have a practice today after school.
A reminder to the boys intramural hockey. Seniors play today at 3:00, juniors are on Thursday at 2:45. We will be having the draft this Friday at lunch in the large gym. Please make sure that all forms and fees are paid through school cash online if you wish to participate.
Sr Girls BB, there will be a practice after school tomorrow. Please see Mr. Smith or Mr. Belding if you cannot make it.
