Please see Mr. Bhan at lunchtime today if you would like to sign up. If you already wrote the fall math contest you will automatically be signed up and do not need to speak to Bhan again.

SPORTS

Are you interested in being on one of the largest teams at Crossley. Track & Field that is!  Track and Field practices are starting after March Break. Wednesday March 23rd will be our first practice which will be indoors. Make sure you have running shoes. If you are interested then sign up in the Gym Foyer on the sign up lists with the events you may be interested in. Remember grade 9s, 10s and 11s there are 5 new events to try out; javelin, discus, pole vault, hurdles and steeplechase. Maybe one of these events will be of interest to you. Practices will be indoors for the 1st few weeks until it warms outside. You don’t want to be missing any practices because the 1st meet is April 28th.

Attention all Crossley rowers. An important reminder that tonight is the swimming certification at the Kiwanis pool in St. Catharines. The certification is a DSBN requirement before heading on the water and is designed to ensure your safety and well being. Please be in attendance and if there are exceptions be sure you have checked in with Mr. Usborne in Rm 307. We will be getting on the water soon which is exciting.

Please continue to attend practice consistently during the regular schedule which includes today for experienced rowers. Novices are out Tuesday and Thursday and any other day you wish to attend (for example if you are missing due to a ski day). You are doing a great job. Keep it up. Go blue and gold!

Good luck to the Jr. Boys’ Basketball team who will be travelling to A.N. Myer this afternoon for their zone semi-final game.

A reminder to all intramural hockey players.  The league continues this week with Blue vs. Grey today at 3:00pm and Orange vs. Yellow on Thursday at 2:45pm.

All members on the boys Varsity hockey team are reminded to confirm their attendance for their game in Port Colborne on Wednesday if they have not already done so.

Attention Jr. Girl’s volleyball. There is a practice today after school starting at 2:30 in the main gym. Please see Ms. Bosilac or Ms. DiSanto if you can’t make it.
