SPORTS

The Senior Boys Soccer team began their season at Centennial High School yesterday amid high winds and drizzle. Led by General Cole Bedard, who had already used ¾ of his fuel tank at Zone Badminton earlier in the day, the boys created numerous opportunities to score in the first half. Scoring our first goal of the season, veteran marksman, Jackson P. began our quest for success on the right foot… or was it the left foot… anyways, he scored.
Centennial came back early in the second half with a quick strike, only to have their momentum quashed by another Badminton exhausted player, Aakash S. with our second goal of the season.
Crossley outchanced Centennial 18 to 8.  Midway through the second half, we found ourselves facing a penalty shot and a possible tied game.  Many looked away but Billy B., our stellar stopper, was up to the challenge and saved a rocket of a shot to his right earning admiration from all. Would you believe even assistant coach Lafferty limberly leaped in legitimate praise .  Highlights include those made by Hudson Scissor Kicks, Addison Future Coach, Limited Labored Longo and Long Legged Luke’s languishing good looks… on the net.

All boys soccer team members (Sr and Jr) will be continuing to perfect our game in practice Monday 6:30 am.

Varsity baseball team, you have a practice after school on the field. Please let Mr. Petro or Mr. Harris know if you cannot attend.
