Junior boys soccer
Members of the junior boys soccer team are reminded that they are excused from 4th period class today at 1:20 pm. The bus is leaving to go to Sir Winston Churchill at 1:30 pm.
Track & Field
Congratulations to the entire Track & Field team who competed yesterday in the frigid temperatures. A great start to the season. Coaches were impressed with determination, sportsmanship and athleticism. THERE IS NO PRACTICE TODAY after school, REST. But get some activity over the weekend and see everyone on MONDAY. Great things to come for the rest of the season. A reminder to all, that if you want to order a last minute hoodie, fill out an order form and pay Cash on Line and hand it in to Mrs Mergl by May 4th.
Congratulations to the badminton players who competed in the Zone 3 championships yesterday hosted here at school. Congratulations to Ava Y. and Devon M. for winning Junior Mixed Doubles and Coleson B., Max P. David W. for also qualifying for the SOSSA championship on Monday in Waterdown. There will be an important meeting today at the beginning of lunch with Mr. Blanchard for those moving on Monday.
ARTS
Attention Artists!! Pelham's Mayor's Youth Advisory Council is hosting a Youth Art Gala on Saturday May 7th at 3pm at the Meridian Community Center. Youth ranging from elementary to high school are encouraged to submit art pieces to display at this event. The showcase will be on May 7, with the art displayed for the rest of the month. Youth will have the opportunity to sell their work if they wish, or may choose to only put it up for display. All types and styles of work are encouraged, from canvas paintings to bracelets.
