May 5 is the National Day of Awareness and Action for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls and Gender diverse people. On this day we aim to raise awareness about this ongoing crisis, take action, and remember the people who have lost their lives to colonial, gender-based violence, and their families and communities that live daily with the grief of losing loved ones. The Redress Project is an art installation that is designed to honour the missing and murdered. We can mark the day by: wearing red or hanging a red dress in your window or your yard. Please take a moment to visit and reflect by the mural in the front entrance of the school.
