Yesterday our Cyclone lacrosse team took part in the area playoffs.  With a first game exciting overtime win against Sir Winston they moved on to the finals vs a very strong Governor Simcoe team.  The game against Sir Winston showed the team mentality of the boys as they came together to overcome the loss of 4 key players.  They battled from a two goal deficit to take the game to overtime.  With an exciting sudden death overtime win, the Cylcone moved on.  Jason S. played a lights out game in net while the dynamic duo of Seth and Reid O. connected for four goals, including the overtime winner.  Caleb W. also played a key role scoring two goals. The speedy Adam R.made some huge plays as did Josh P.. Jordan H., Matt L. and Ryan L. laid some great hits to get some key ground balls. Reid O. dominated at the faceoff x making both the tying goal and overtime win possible. Ms Yallup is so proud of the way everyone on the team stepped up! The Cyclone ended up losing the final and taking second place in the league but will now be heading to SOSSA this Thursday.

The varsity boys’ baseball team defeated St John De Brebeuf 9-1 yesterday afternoon. They are in action this morning against Westlane, and if they are victorious, will compete in the Zone final this afternoon against AN Myer. Good luck today boys!
