CLUBS

The Oddity Film Society is having a change of plans and will be viewing its last movie of the year today after school today in the lecture hall. Come be entertained. 

Link Crew Leaders for the 2022/23 school year are reminded to meet outside of the lecture hall at 8:50 am TODAY!  

Cyclone day is on wednesday and your student council has been working hard to plan the day for you. A few important things for you to know 

• Wear your colour wars colours! Grade 9’s -red, Grade 10 - yellow, Grade 11’s - green, and grade 12’s - blue. 

• Please bring extra snacks and water bottles, bring sunscreen, hats, bug spray and running shoes!

• If you are playing capture the flag - bring a second shirt - grade 9 and 11 students need to wear dark green shirts. Grade 10 and 12 need to wear black shirts. Also, view the jail rules on the board by the cafetaria.

• Come ready to have a lot of fun!!

Attention all students with a period 1 spare that are attending cyclone day. If you have already returned your permission form, you will be riding on the bus with Ms Kropac. Please be in room 113 no later than 9 AM on Wednesday. See you then :)

SPORTS

Crossley did it in Track & Field! As a team we WON the TEAM title, girls overall and boys overall at REGIONALS last week for the first time that Mrs Mergl can ever remember coaching Track. Even the athletes who just missed qualifying got points for the team. We have 22 athletes who qualified for OFSAA this Thursday to Saturday. It is time to fully state who they are in the order when they qualified. Henry K. & Max P. in Pole Vault, Ava Y. in Discus and Javelin, Samuel J. in Sprint Hurdles, Pole Vault, Long Jump and 4x400m relay, Ethan V. and Simon B. in Pole Vault, Lucas N. in 100m and 4x100m relay, Noah P., Keon D. in 4x100m relay and Jackson S. in 4x100m and 4x400m relay, Jack B. in Javelin, Matt K. in 800m and 4x400m relay, Adam K. in 800m and 4x400m relay, Hillary H.,Cherith D. and Abby S. in Pole vault, Izzy B. in Shot put and long jump, Ryan Z. in High jump, Olivia J. and Alexis C. in Pole Vault, Josh L. in discus and Brandon B. in Javelin.

Attention girls soccer players: Please bring in your uniforms to Ms. Di Santo as soon as possible in room 301.

Junior Boys soccer team members will practice today after school and play Tuesday against A. N. Myer here at E. L. C. for the Zone 3 final.

ARTS

Congratulations to the members of the marching band for a fabulous performance at the Fenwick parade Friday night.  It was the first in-person parade since Dec 2019, great to see you back on the streets entertaining a community.  WELL DONE!!!
