TODAYS NEWS

Due to the weather forecast for tomorrow which looks very wet and is calling for possible thunderstorms, we have made the decision to move our Cyclone Day trip to Queenston Heights Park to Monday June 6th.  Please make sure that you are prepared (sunscreen) and dressed (runners, hats, athletic clothing & footwear for games & activities) for the weather as we will be outside for the majority of the day.  Lunch will be provided but students are welcome to bring their own additional snacks.

School Nurse is in today!

The grade 12 Business leadership class has partnered with Fonthill Rotary to produce the 2nd annual Family Funfest that will be at Bissell’s campground on Saturday, June 18th. We need lots of volunteers to help run activities such as: the bouncy castle, help riders on to unicorns, assist with the therapy animal centre, face painting, craft area, help youngsters to assemble projects in the Try a Trade area, parking attendants, musician assistance and lots more.  If you would like to earn a significant number of volunteer hours, head to the Student Services page in D2L and look for the announcement with the Google form sign up link.

Attention all students with a period 1 spare:  If you are attending cyclone day and have already returned your form, you will be on the bus with Ms Kropac.  Please be in room 113 no later than 9 AM on Wednesday.  See you there!

SPORTS

Yesterday afternoon, Rowan T. and Jayden T. represented EL Crossley in the NRHSAA Baseball All-Star game. Rowan called a fantastic game behind the plate, adding in a beautiful double in the top of the second. As the only Grade 9 player in the game, Jayden showcased his talents with several outstanding defensive plays and a solid 2 innings on the mound. Mr. Petro and Mr. Harris would like to thank all members of the team once again for an outstanding season!
