Colour Wars is back! Earn points for your grade, while competing for the Crossley Colour Wars Trophy. If you are in grade 12 - your colour is blue, Grade 11’s have green, Grade 10’s get yellow and our Grade 9’s have red! Make sure to participate in the spirit weeks coming up - when you participate by wearing the theme of the day you win points for your grade! We will also be doing classroom competitions - mini games where each class is given a designated task or game to play and winners earn points towards colour wars! This is a year round competition and winners are announced in June, at our annual Cyclone Day. More information will be coming soon, and make sure you follow our Instagram page @elcstudentscouncil to stay up to date on the latest exciting events!
Did you know that the third floor has a multi-faith/meditation room that is available for student use? You can find this space in room 317. People can use this space for prayer and/or meditation and should leave this space in the condition they found it.
Attention to all students who plan to graduate this June. Please note there will be a grad meeting in the lecture hall for this Thursday, September 15th for period 2. Plan to arrive on time.
Are you interested in being a representative of your grade by talking with peers and bringing ideas for school spirit to student council? Are you interested in developing leadership skills and organizing school wide events? Then being a grade rep is the position for you! Please see Mrs. Varga in Room 113 for a nomination form today! These forms are due by Friday of this week.

Lunchtime can be a drag, I know, so if you’re looking for a way to spice up that nutrition and hydration time, stop by room 305 for some board gaming.

SPORTS
There will NOT be a senior boys volleyball Tryout today after school.
Attention students trying out for the Jr. boys volleyball team. There will NOT be a tryout today after school. Our next practice will be Thursday after school. Please see Mr. Petro or Mr. Shannon if you have any questions.
No Cross-Country practice today but if you were not out last night please report to room 304 at lunch and Mr. Edwards will give you the athlete package that was distributed yesterday. There are time sensitive papers within that package. It is important to get them and have them signed to bring back to school. Room 304 / Cross-country runner / lunchtime today
Attention cyclones with dance, gymnastics or cheerleading experience! Tryouts for this year's competitive cheer team are tomorrow after school until 3:30pm. The sign up sheet is in the gym foyer on the whiteboard. Hope to see you there!
