As many countries around the world mourn the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. Today we will observe a moment of silence at 1pm today.
Good morning cyclones and welcome to our first spirit week! Tomorrow is going to be silly socks and/or sandals day. Your period one teachers will be asked to count and record the number of students who are wearing silly socks and/or sandals tomorrow! Each person wearing these items will earn points for their grade in our colour wars competition! We will also have a quick classroom competition tomorrow during period one - teachers - the blank answer sheet required for the competition will be in your mailbox after third period today - please remember to collect this sheet from your mailbox for tomorrow morning!
SPORTS
The Junior & Senior Girls basketball team rosters are posted on the door to room 103, we will be practicing tonight and Thursday at 2:15 in the main gym. Our season will be starting Next week. Seniors please see Mr. Smith or Mr. Belding if you cannot make the practice. Juniors please see Mr. Marquis or Ms. Feiertag if you cannot make the practice.
Attention Golf players, please confirm tomorrow’s try-out attendance with Mr. Blanchard before the end of lunch today. We will reset last week’s rained out try-out and we only have one opportunity to complete the team for the Wednesday deadline. Zone tournament is all day next Wednesday at Twenty Valley. See Mr. Blanchard if you have any questions.
Cheer team tryouts will be on Tuesday from 2:20-3:30. Please meet in the front foyer to find out if we are out on the field. This will be the final tryout. If you cannot attend be sure to see Mme Menchella-White or Mrs Hutchinson.
ARTS
Bass player urgently needed for this year’s jazz band! If you can play bass guitar or you are a piano player with grade 7 RCM or higher and want to learn the bass quickly, please see Mrs. Stickney in the music room today!
