TODAYS NEWS

Today is the day Cyclones!!!  It’s Pep Rally Day. All Athletes and club members participating in the event today are to be dismissed from period 1 at 9:05am.

LAST DAY TO BUY SPIRIT WEAR AND GRAD HOODIES!!  SPIRIT WEAR STORE CLOSES TODAY!!

Attention to all students who are going to the recording of Canada's Got Talent with Ms. Pomeroy and Ms. Stickney.  You MUST be in the foyer ready to board the bus at 11:15 sharp.  We will board the bus quickly. Don't be late. Prime seating is assigned to groups who arrive early. Reminder...leave large bags and backpacks at the school. In short... Canada's Got Talent Trip...11:15 in the foyer....ready to board the bus.

Attention Grads, It’s time to book your Grad photos! They are happening next week in the lecture halls.  Log into  D2L - Grade 12’s only for directions!

Next week from Oct. 25-28 Student Council will be collecting non-perishable food items for our Halloween for Hunger food drive. Please bring any items you wish to donate to the front foyer where student council members will be collecting. Colour wars points will be awarded for any items brought in. 

The season for College and University in person open houses begins this week and will last until the end of November. If you plan to apply to a college or university in the future, it is important to visit the school in person. Please make a point to determine when the schools you are interested in are hosting their open houses.

University bound students - there is a University fair in St. Catharine Monday evening. That is this coming Monday. Be sure to check the grade 12 D2L page for more information.

Wow Cyclones! We are going to have an AMAZING turnout for Semi! If you still have not purchased your ticket for semi - a reminder that you have until next wednesday - October 26th to do so! If you have a dietary concern, for example a food allergy OR if you need to arrive to semi AFTER 6pm - you NEED to see Mrs. Varga in room 113 as soon as possible.

From October 27th to the 1st of November Crossley will be participating in our second spirit week! Activities will range from pumpkin painting at lunch on Thursday, wearing black and orange on friday, a costume parade on halloween monday and a relaxing pajama day on tuesday nov 1st. And guess what crossley? All activities and all dress up themes count for color war points!! May the best grade win the most points from showing your school spirit!

CLUBS

Students interested in purchasing a chess shirt and/or participating in the next chess tournament are reminded to bring their forms to Mrs Bhan in room 313 Today! See Mrs Bhan if you have questions.

SPORTS

Cross-Country, Congratulations to the Cross-Country team who successfully defended the Zone 3 Boys, Girls and Overall School titles for the 20th consecutive year.
First Place teams included the Novice boys, Novice girls and Junior Boys
Third Place team was earned by the Senior Boys
Runners in the top ten not included in those teams include Sasha T., Teaghan B., Connor A., Clayton S., Olivia R. and Alexis C..  All mentioned will be competing at SOSSA next Thursday.

Congratulations to the Sr. Girls basketball team on their win over Port Colborne yesterday. The girls jumped out to a fast start leading 11-2 after the first quarter. Port Colborne put up a strong effort matching the second quarter scoring. The Cyclones were too strong in the second half winning 35-22. Excellent work on defense and finishing.
