Continuing today, tomorrow and on Monday October 31st, Student Council is collecting non-perishable food items for our Halloween for Hunger food drive. Please bring any items you wish to donate to Pelham Cares to the front foyer where student council members will be collecting. Colour wars points will be awarded for any items brought in.
Today student council will be running our pumpkin painting event! This is an opportunity for you to participate and earn points for colour wars as each grade will be allowed to have 3 pumpkins be painted for the competition. Come out and see the creativity today at lunch!

Hey cyclones, just a reminder that volleyball 4v4 intramurals are happening today at lunch. Make sure to check the schedule to see when you play next, there are 2 rec games and 2 competitive games today. You aren’t eliminated until you have lost twice. See you at lunch!
A reminder that in Intramural Hockey, the Juniors are playing today at 2:45pm. Make sure you have your forms and fees submitted if you have not done so already. A reminder to ALL PLAYERS that the draft is tomorrow at lunch in Room 208 and the season starts next week.
Any students interested in time keeping for either the intramural hockey or the Boys and Girls Varsity hockey games are asked to speak with Mr. Lew or Mr. Blanchard.
The Sr. Girls Basketball team traveled to St. Catharines last night to take on the Redcoats from Governor Simcoe. Governor Simcoe has been streaky as of late and unfortunately your cyclones got the red hot version of the Redcoats. Your girls held their own, but ended up on the losing end. A special shout out to the junior girls who stepped up to play with us as our lineup card was a little short due to injuries and other activities. The girls will be playing 2 games at home next week on Monday and Tuesday after school.
The ELC rowing team is one of the biggest teams in the school and is one of those unique teams or sports that many students have never tried before entering school. Well here is your chance to "dip your toes into the water" by participating in the Crossley novice winter training program that prepares rowers for the spring racing season. The winter training program has been a big part of the Crossley rowing success and is done in a coed, fun atmosphere that empowers you to improve your physical and mental well being. The novice winter training program runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays after school here at the school from 2.15-4pm. Everyone and anyone is invited and included simply by coming out and participating with the team. No previous experience is required and nor does it matter what your current fitness level is- we build you up gradually "slow and steady wins the race". THERE WILL BE A SHORT INFORMATION MEETING AT LUNCHTIME THIS FRIDAY IN ROOM 318.
When Crossley Rowing does hit the water, it is done through the Notre Dame Rowing Club on the Welland Canal in Welland- one of the best training sites in North America and very close to ELC. The rowing club is hosting a couple of try row days the next two Saturdays from 11am-1pm at the rowing club. come down and give the sport a try and get a taste of what the sport is like. The try row days are hosted by the Notre Dame rowing club which is our host club and houses all of the equipment. Weather looks great. Get more info at the Friday lunchtime meeting
