TODAYS NEWS

Attention to all grade 11 and 12 students. This week is a busy week for college and university visits to Crossley.  Make sure you have signed up in advance to attend these sessions.  Quick run down as to what schools are coming starting today: Sheridan College, Mohawk College, Canadore College Guelph University, and  Carleton University

Today was the last day to bring in a non perishable food item to donate to pelham cares. Student council would like to thank all students who made donations to this very worthy cause. Today is also costume day! Could all Period 1 teachers please count and record the number of students per grade in their class that are wearing a costume. And a reminder that tomorrow is the last day of our spirit week and we are celebrating it with pj day!!! So come on crossley - wear your comfy pj’s and earn colour wars points in the process! 

Please stop the yearbook photo booths in the lobby during lunch today! Everyone is welcome! 

CLUBS

Congratulations to the awesome chess team who competed at AN Myer on Friday! The cyclones took the tournament by storm - great job to all 9 Chess-Letes! A reminder to any chess club member who wishes to buy a chess shirt that the deadline to give Mrs Bhan your form is tomorrow at lunch. 

There is no yearbook meeting this week; instead please stop by the photobooth with all your friends! 

SPORTS

BOYS BASKETBALL, BOYS BASKETBALL BOYS BASKETBALL, Coach Bleich will run a club practice for any JR Boys and SR Boys players TONIGHT from 7 to 9pm here at the school.  This is a practice only, not a try-out.  Try-outs will start in a few weeks. Everyone is welcome if you have filled out your “Permission to Participate Form”.

Anyone interested in Wrestling for Crossley this year but all practices at Thorold High, there will be an important meeting Tuesday at lunch in the main gym for more information.

Reminder that 4on4 intramural volleyball continues today at lunch, check the schedule to see if you are playing. Playoff Games for Wednesday will be moved to Thursday due to take your kids to work. Playoff games will be changed to play to 15 points.

Reminder to the Jr Girls basketball team of their game today here at ELC against Sir Winston. Come out and support your fellow cyclones!

A reminder to those who are playing Intramural Hockey.  The season starts this week with Blue vs. Yellow today at 2:45pm and Orange vs. Grey Thursday at 2:45pm.  Check your emails for the schedule and team rosters.

Reminder to all novice rowers of Tuesday and Thursday after school sessions. Meet in the gym foyer after school at 2:15

Reminder to all girls interested in playing hockey of the tryout tue after school at the Meridian centre. See Ms. Yallup if you can’t make it.

A huge shout out to the Jr. Boys Volleyball team who participated in the Eden Volleyball Tournament on Friday. After losing a heartbreaker to Eden on Thursday night, the boys regrouped, playing excellent volleyball throughout the day. Boys, we are back in action Thursday night against AN Myer.
