Badminton Club:
Starting November 9th from 6 - 8 pm, students interested in playing badminton with Crossley friends old and new are invited to our gyms for recreational play.
Mr. Edwards will supervise these two hours each Wednesday evening until early May. It gives you an opportunity for free activity and badminton shot practice once a week leading up to the School Team Tryouts in late February and Early March. See you on the courts every Wednesday starting next week. We have some equipment, bring yours if you have some. Come prepared in proper athletic attire for a smashing good time!
Rowing: Attention all Crossley students interested in giving the ELC Rowing program a taste and a try. The winter training program starts today and is designed as a preparation for the spring on water rowing and racing season. Young athletes will learn the importance of teamwork and training while having fun, meeting new friends, and developing competence in the sport of rowing. It is a great introduction to the sport and the team, and is very manageable with only a couple of after school practices a week allowing you time for your other sports and studies. Practices run from 2.15-4pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Meet in the foyer today outside the big gym right after school dressed and ready to have some fitness fun.
With the good weather hanging around, the club is having another Try-Row day this upcoming Saturday from 11am-1pm. Open to anyone from any grade, show up at the Notre Dame Rowing club in Welland at that time dressed and ready to give this new sport a try. More info at the after school novice workouts.
