TODAYS NEWS 

The school nurse Dana will be on Thursday Dec 8th this week.

E.L. Crossley is offering extra homework and assignment help every Tuesday and Thursday afterschool for the remainder of this semester.  Mr.  Yando and Mr. Leone will be working with students in the library afterschool on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 4 pm.  This is a great opportunity to get additional support in any of your courses. Everyone is welcome!

The DSBN Indigenous Student Trustee and the Indigenous Education Team want to hear your voice! As we approach the holiday season, Aapex is holding their annual Holiday contest.  They want to make one lucky student’s holiday a little brighter with $200 off our driver education program. You can find ballots in the main office.  The contest runs from Tuesday, December 6th to Thursday, December 15th

CLUBS

Attention to all skiers/snowboards - there is a very important meeting for 10:50 in the lecture hall on Wednesday- Dec.7th. Be there!

The Oddity Film Society will be watching Charlie Kaufman’s “I’m Thinking of Ending Things” after school today in room 305. It’s winter, bizarre and haunting. Whatever you do, don’t Google the ending. 

SPORTS

There will be NO 3 mat soccer intramurals today at lunch but games will resume tomorrow.

Congratulations to the Sr. Boys Basketball team on their season-opening win in the Standard Tournament yesterday afternoon. After a slow start against a talented West Niagara team, the boys shook off the rust with a dominant second half. They are back in action tonight against Blessed Trinity at Governor Simcoe at 7:30 PM.

Could all members of the girl’s hockey team come to his room at lunch today for key info for today’s game. 

Congratulations to the junior girls volleyball team on their first win putting forth a great team effort. A reminder that we have practice tonight at 4pm.

Reminder to all novice rowers of our workouts this week on Tue and Thur after school.  Newcomers welcome.
