Today’s theme for our spirit week is "winter wonderland" - could period one teachers please count and record the number of students wearing ugly sweaters, festive hats and winter wear. Today is also your last day to work on door decorating for period 3 classes as judging will happen tomorrow! A reminder that the holiday cards created in period 1 classes on monday can be delivered to room 113 by the end of period 1 today. And lastly, tomorrow is “blue and white” day - wear your blue and white to earn colour wars points!

This is a reminder from Guidance that if you put in a request for an appointment you will be contacted through your email with your appointment date and time.  It is important that you check your email regularly so you don’t miss your scheduled appointment.

Attention to all grads who are university bound. If you plan to apply to Ontario universities over the Christmas break, you will need you PIN to do so. Pick this up from Guidance before you leave for the break.

CLUBS

Badminton Club tonight is cancelled  due to Mr. Edwards” conflict of interest with his youngest daughter’s Christmas Concert. Our next evening of fun will occur January the 11th. Mr. Edwards apologies and hopes you understand.

SPORTS

A reminder to the intramural hockey team that the Blue team takes on the Orange team in the last game before the Holiday break.  We continue the week we return from Holidays, with the Orange team taking on the Yellow team on Monday January 9 and the Blue team taking on the Grey team on Thursday January 11.

Last night the junior girls volleyball team played West Niagara.
The game was competitive but our crossley ladies played as a team and won the match! Every member of the team contributed to the win. Congratulations junior girls! Coaches Di Santo and Kiley continue to be so proud of your effort and improvements.

There will be a short meeting for the junior girls volleyball team TODAY at LUNCH in room 306 as well as a practice after school.

The Sr. Boys Basektball team travelled to West Niagara yesterday afternoon. With a short handed lineup, the boys overcame an early deficit to take a comfortable lead heading into the second half. After an unfortunate injury to start the third, the short lineup fought to the end but ultimately could not close out the game. The boys are back in action this afternoon against AN Myer.

Yesterday the Varsity Boys Hockey Team took on Centennial.  From the start of the game they put the pressure on the opposition and never let up.  Goals from Adam R. Hayden K., and Josh D. gave the team the lead, but all players put in a strong effort, not letting Centennial gain any momentum.  Nevan R. held them scoreless in his first shutout of the season, as the Cyclones went on to win 3-0.  Great job boys!
