SPORTS

Badminton Club is on this evening from 6 - 8 pm in our gyms. School team tryouts are a month and a half away… come on out and work off the rust in your shot making abilities before then.  6 - 8 pm every Wednesday in our gyms until May.

The girl’s hockey team played their hearts out yesterday against a strong Myer team coming out with the tie. Ms. Yallup and Mr. Bhan call it a win though with the girl’s playing their best game of the season! Sasha T. was stellar in net making many highlight reel saves to keep the girls in the game! Eryn V. scored the first goal of the game giving Crossley the lead with Jennah L. chipping in with the assist. Myer turned up the heat in the third tying the score and getting the go ahead goal. The crossley girls did not give up showing a lot of heart and came back to tie it. Eryn and Jennah coming through once again! All the girls should be proud of their play with notable stand out games for Claire L., Jinga S. and Emily Br.. Coaches are super proud of the girls!

Congratulations to the jr girls volleyball team on their exciting win last night against Myer. Their next game is tomorrow at westlane. A reminder that there is practice tonight at 4pm. See you then!

The Sr. Boys Basketball team will kick off the Welland Tribune Tournament this afternoon against Westlane. Students who purchased a buy-in ticket will be allowed into the gym, but must report to Period 4 for attendance prior to attending.

In intramurals for today: Come join some of the leadership class at lunch in the big gym to play Kan Jam. Don’t know how to play? Come out and we’ll teach you. Anyone is welcome and we hope to see you there!”
