Monday January 16th is vaccination day for school students if you or your parents received an immunization notice from public health in the mail.  Please remember to bring in your personal immunization record, the yellow card, have breakfast, a snack, and wear a short sleeved shirt.

SPORTS

The EL Crossley Sr. Boys Basketball team competed in the quarter finals of the 66th annual Welland Tribune Tournament yesterday night against long time rival, Notre Dame. Playing in a hostile environment at Notre Dame, the boys came out of the gate hot, jumping up to an early lead which they would carry into the second half. The boys withstood a fierce late game push by the Fighting Irish, taking the game 42-36. With the win, the boys advance to the semi final tonight against the Sir Winston Churchill Bulldogs. Tipoff is set for 8:00 PM at Notre Dame, come out and support our boys!  

A reminder to the Intramural Hockey League that the Blue team takes on the Yellow team on Monday and the Grey Team plays the Orange team on Thursday.  This is last week of games before the All Star break…I mean exam break.  The league resumes the first full week of semester 2.

Please excuse Members of the Varsity Boys hockey team at 12:40 before the end of period 3 for their game in St. Catharines against Laura Secord.

Have you ever wanted to learn European handball? Today is your lucky day. European handball is the intramural today. game at 10:55 in the big gym! Anyone is welcome. See you then.

A big shout out to the girls on the junior volleyball team on their win against Westlane.  A reminder: there's a lunch meeting today at lunch in 306.

A congratulatory shout-out goes to Miss White for a job well done as her grade nine art students have their amazing ceramic gargoyles on display in the lobby of the Pelham Meridian Community centre.  Be sure to check them out! They will be on display until February 16th!
