Today is Purim, a Jewish celebration that marks the time when the Jewish community living in Persia was saved from genocide. On Purim, Jewish people offer charity and share food with friends.
Today is: The night of asking for forgiveness is the 15th day of Sha’ban - the eighth month of the lunar Islamic calendar. The main blessing of this night is that God pours His mercy and forgiveness upon earth from Maghrib prayer until Fajr prayer. Muslims may also fast on this day. (Islam)

Cyclones! A reminder that the deadline to purchase a yearbook for the 2022-2023 school year CLOSES right before March break. Students that are interested in buying a yearbook can do so through school cash online. Get ‘em while you can!
Today is “dress like a teacher day!” Could all period 1 teachers please count and record the number of students who are dressed like teachers in the google form found in the email to staff. There is also another email with the link to the trivia quiz from yesterday. Period 1 teachers are welcome to complete this quiz today - if you completed the quiz yesterday - it still counts, but you are welcome to retake the quiz today! And a reminder that tomorrow is colour wars day - grade 9’s dress in red, grade 10’s in yellow, grade 11’s in green and grade 12’s in blue!

The Oddity Film Society will be screening something after school today. Stop by and see what it might be.
Students interested in being part of this year's Competitive Mock Trial Team Competition that takes place at the Courthouse in May are invited to attend our first meeting Wednesday after school until 4PM. The meeting will take place in Mrs Barber’s room - room 204.

Attention all students interested in trying out for the Varsity Boys Baseball team, a tryout signup sheet has been posted outside of the large gym. Tryouts will begin after March Break. Please see Mr. Petro if you have any questions.
Sign up for boys soccer teams and an information letter can be picked up at the same time outside room 304 at lunch.
