Day of Significance:
Feast of the Annunciation: A Christian celebration of the announcement by the angel Gabriel to the Virgin Mary that she would conceive and become the mother of Jesus
International Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Slavery: This day offers the opportunity to honour and remember those who suffered and died at the hands of the brutal slavery system. It also aims to raise awareness about the dangers of racism and prejudice today
If you have not collected your gift for your Golden Ticket yet, please stop by the main office to get yours. You do not need to have the ticket to collect.
SPORTS
Track & Field has an introductory to pole vault today after school. Come out if interested. ALL other athletes will be practicing today after school for track & Field as well.
We MAY be going outside next week so be PREPARED for the weather. All specific events are going to be practiced next week.
Attention all students trying out for the varsity boys baseball team, you have a tryout today after school on the field. Please see Mr. Petro if you cannot attend.
ARTS
Final Reminder: All artworks from semester one that were hanging in front hallway or left in art room need to be picked up in room 107 this week.
The DSBN annual “Off the Wall” Art Show for grades 9 to 11 is approaching very quickly! Any students who would like to show their work in this show must bring their artwork to Ms. Wilkinson in room 107 by THURSDAY March 23rd, and submit a title and artist statement for it. ALL artists and artworks are welcome!!!
The city of St. Catharines is calling for all artists of any age to participate in a juried show set for next September. Anyone interested in this show can get more information from Ms. Wilkinson in room 107.
