Day of Significance:

Vaisakhi Sikh New Year: marks the first day of the month of Vaisakha and is usually celebrated annually on 13 or 14 April as the solar new year. It is additionally a spring harvest festival in the Punjab

Puthandu: Puthandu, also known as Puthuvarudam or Tamil New Year, is the first day of the year on the Tamil calendar and traditionally celebrated as a festival

Solar New Year : Mesha Sankranti refers to the first day of the solar cycle year, that is the solar New Year in the Hindu luni-solar calendar

CLUBS

Attention Chess Club members. Please come to the library at lunch to get permission forms if you’re interested in the last chess tournament of the year on April 28.

SPORTS

Track & Field: Everyone is practicing everyday. Pole vault will be outside today.  All throwers are practicing everyday. Long and Triple jumpers will be in the pits today. Hurdlers will be practicing.

To all Track & Field athletes your ZONE qualifying competition day has moved a day earlier to Monday May 15th, so you are still expected to have the same required practices in order for you to compete.

Any Crossley rowers that have not picked up their pasta dinner tickets (Saturday, April 29th) must do so today immediately after period 2 at the beginning of lunch. Ms Yallup will only be available for the first few minutes. Long overdue, don’t delay, get them today. Go blue and gold!

Boys Soccer teams practice today after school. Next week, we will be on our field Monday after school, Tuesday and Thursday morning.
