Hello Cyclones and welcome to our SPRING spirit week! The events for this week include a classroom competition running during period 4 today. Teachers please look for the required answer sheet in your mailbox today after period 2. Tomorrow is Adam Sandler Day, Wednesday is Colour wars day, Thursday is Flower power or pastel colours day and Friday is class clones. That’s right Crossley - due to an overwhelming response we are bringing back class clones - SO discuss with your period 3 class this week to figure out what theme you want to dress up as!

Attention yearbook members! The date of our next productivity party is this Wednesday, April 26! We will see you after school in room 209 until 4pm.
Attention Chess club members! Today is the last day to submit your permission form to Mr. Maguire in room 402 at lunch.
SPORTS
Track and field order forms for clothing are due tomorrow.
The girls soccer team is reminded of their mandatory meeting today at lunch in room 306, as well as their practice today after school.
Members of the senior boys soccer team are asked to meet in room 301 at lunch for a brief meeting ahead of today’s game against Westlane.
Bring on the pasta and meatballs. The E.L. Crossley Rowing team’s annual pasta dinner and silent auction is back. This Saturday, here at Crossley at 5pm. Great family , fun event. More details to come in the days ahead. Go blue and gold!
There will be a girls softball practice at Harold Black park on Tuesday and Thursday after school this week. If you are unable to attend please speak to Mr. Smith or Mr. Belding.
Sr Boys Soccer team meet in the gym foyer at lunch
Each year the OSSTF and DSBN recognize an outstanding graduate from each and every highschool in the District School Board of Niagara. Last week the EL Crossley teaching staff nominated candidates for this prestigious award according to the following criteria:
A 2023 graduating student who:
▪ Achieves a high academic standing
▪ Gives that little extra, who contributes significantly to various extra-curricular school activities
▪ Is a leader among their peers and is a positive role model
▪ Gives of themselves for the good of the school community through voluntary community service
▪ Has achieved personal excellence through distinguished effort in endeavors outside of the school
On Friday, staff voted, and we are pleased to announce that this year’s EL Crossley Excellence in Education winner is Aakash S. When you see Aakash today, please congratulate him on this recognition. Way to go Aakash!
