TODAYS NEWS

E.L. Crossley is offering extra homework and assignment help Tuesday and Thursdays. Mr. Yando and Mr. Leone will be working with students in the library afterschool today until 4 pm. This is a great opportunity to get additional support in any of your courses. Everyone is welcome!

Today is Adam Sandler Day - could period 1 teachers please complete the google form to record the number of students, by grade, who are dressed up as one of the many characters played by Adam Sandler. A reminder that tomorrow is Colour wars day - grade 9’s wear red, grade 10’s wear yellow, grade 11’s wear green and grade 12’s wear blue. Thursday is Flower power or pastel colours day and Friday is class clones. We will be running class clones during period 3 on friday - SO discuss with your period 3 class this week to figure out what theme you want to dress up as! 

Deadline to apply to take a summer course is May 1.  If wishing to take either an online, Edutravel or course in person, please make an appointment in Guidance ASAP.

CLUBS

The Waterloo Design challenge teams are asked to meet in Mr. Belding’s room (103) at lunch today for a brief meeting about the day of competition on Friday here at the school.  

Since there is a staff meeting today, the Oddity Film Society will not be meeting after school today. We will resume next week. 

The Competitive Mock Trial Team will meet in Mrs. Barber’s room after school Wednesday..and…Don’t forget about tomorrow’s lunch time photoshoot in the Commtech room - bring your ‘lawyer’ clothes!

Shoutout to Cappies Critic Eryn V., whose second review, this time for Welland Centennial’s “Newsies”, will be published in an upcoming issue of the St. Catharines Standard! Congratulations Eryn! 

SPORTS

Varsity boys baseball and girls softball have been canceled due to the staff meeting.  The girls softball team has a mandatory meeting in room 103 today at lunch!  Both teams plan to practice on Thursday after school at Harold Black park.

A reminder to the varsity boys baseball team that forms Mr. Petro will be collecting your forms today at lunch in room 406.

ARTS

A friendly reminder that Jazz Band Rehearsal is tomorrow after school in the music room. Please remember to bring in your signed Canada Wonderland Forms if you haven’t done so already.
