CLUBS
Students council is excited to announce that we are planning our first spirit week and continuing our colour wars competition! Colour wars is a year long competition between ALL grade 9, 10 ,11 and 12 students. Points are earned by each grade as students participate in school wide events like spirit weeks. On our Colour wars days students are asked to wear something in the colour assigned to your grade - Grade 9’s are red, grade 10’s are yellow, grade 11’s are green and grade 12’s are blue.
To prepare, our spirit store will be open all of next week - except on wednesday - to sell you spirit shirts for only $5 each! Cash only please. For updates on student council events follow us on instagram @elcstudentscouncil
Are you looking for a quiet place to relax at Lunch? The Chill Room is available for those students looking for a place to relax in room 215 at lunch.
SPORTS
A reminder that Cross Country is practicing today after school till 4pm. Meet in the gym foyer for 2:20pm once you are changed. Come and make some life lasting friends and get into shape. We need 4 runners minimum per division to make a team.
Attention all potential golfers! UNLESS YOU ARE IN GRADE 9…..
If you attended a school other than E.L. Crossley last year and you want to play on the golf team this year you need to speak with Mr. Smith (room 112) or Mr. MacDonald (room 311) to ensure you are eligible to play. We need to check your eligibility TODAY because Monday is too late!
Newcomers to Crossley or simply new to the sport of rowing. Here is your best chance to give this hugely popular Crossley sport a try by participating in the Learn to Row program that runs on Saturday and Sundays this Fall at the Welland community boathouse on the Welland canal. Easy peasy and won’t interfere with your other sports or start up of school. Starts officially next weekend but there is an open house this Saturday, Sept 10 between 9am-noon at the boathouse. Likewise if you need more info see Mr. Ruscitti today in Room 206. Anyone in any grade is welcome. Go blue and gold!
