TODAY’S NEWS
Just a reminder that picture retake day is Monday. Yes, picture retake day is Monday.
Wait - Remember our first grad meeting when Ms Cripps said there will be two groups of grads? One who knew what was going on, and the other who is amazed at those who do. Which one are you in? Those in the group who know what is going on, got a notification on Tuesday night about the process for booking a grad photo session. If you did not, then you need to set notifications so that you get updates. The process is outlined in the grade 12 D2L class. Book your appointment today. Pegasus is only here for a short time.

The Sr. Girls Basketball team played a heartfelt game yesterday against AN Myer in the NC Pat Laing Basketball Classic. The Marauders jumped out to a 10 point lead after the first quarter, then increased it to a 15 point lead heading into halftime. This is where our Cyclones found their strength fighting back to take the lead in the fourth quarter. With 3 minutes left in the game we were all knotted up at 47-47, unfortunately we lost our touch losing 53-47. We will now face Centennial at 4:30 in the Consolation Semifinal here at Crossley. Come cheer on your Cyclones as we try to make the Consolation Finals. Go Cyclones!!
Congratulations to all members of the Cross country team who ran yesterday at Brock. What a great way to start, a very good showing by all. A special congrats to the junior boys team who won overall. They were Logan M, Griffin E, Adam F, Jack R, Grant L and Connor A. Also congrats to Matt K with a top 5 placing. See everyone tonight for a light practice. Reminder to everyone on the team to pick up information for the spaghetti dinner.
OFSAA! - Yes, you heard that right, your cyclones have already competed at an OFSAA event this year. The boys golf team made the short and exciting 4 hour drive to Windsor this week to compete against Ontario’s best golfers. Our boys played great and earned themselves an 11th place finish in the province. The course was long and the greens were fast. It was set up to challenge the best senior athletes Ontario high schools have to offer, but that didn’t stop our young team from rising to the challenge. Crossley golf at OFSAA was made up of 3 grade 9’s (Ben J, Brennan T and Kelton P) along with one grade 11 (Blake F) who were by far the youngest team in the competition. The team finished 7th overall on Day 2 of the event, highlighted by a Blake’s round of even par 71 which was the 4th lowest score of the day!! The coaches would like to thank all team members, including Jonah S who helped the team at Zone and SOSSA. Congratulations boys on your excellent achievement!
