TODAY’S NEWS
Today is the final day for semi table sign ups in the main foyer. Please send ONE person from your group of 10 to sign up your table! If you don’t have a group of 10 - that is okay - just know that Mrs. Varga will be placing your smaller group with another small group to make a table as close to 10 as possible! We need to know who you want to sit with at semi. Table sign ups will occur at lunch today and tomorrow. Any questions - please see Mrs. Varga in room 113!
Attention all Grade 11 & 12 students who are thinking about going directly into university after high school. Next Thursday, all Ontario universities will be represented at the local university fair at Brock. If you would like a spot on the bus that will be taking students to the event, please look to your D2L classes for a permission form. Space is limited to the first 46 people. Permission forms are due to Guidance Nov. 6th. Special shout out to grade 11s- reduce your stress for next year by starting to do some research this year. Consider attending the University fair to begin this process.
Recycling: Today during Period 4 our Grade 9 Geography Recycling Team will be coming to your classrooms to pick up your recycling bins. Please ensure that your ‘blue’ and ‘grey’ bins have been properly sorted, and that your bins are placed outside your classroom or office doors directly after period 3. Thank you!
Today is also Pj day - period 1 teachers please count and record the number of students by grade who are wearing pj in the google form sent to you by email this morning.
Today is also the final day to collect food for Halloween for hunger. Period 1 teachers - can you also please record the number of canned food items brought in by students and complete the separate google form that was emailed to you this morning! A huge thank you to all students who brought in nonperishable food items to support those less fortunate in our community!
CLUBS
The DECA Business Leadership club will be having ice cream and treats and working on a case today at lunch in Mr. Middleton’s room.
Broadway/Culture Club! Broadway Culture club will be making up for our missed session yesterday, and will be meeting in Room 204 to resume Hamilton! Hope to see you there!
SPORTS
Wish the Junior Boys and Matt K the best as they head to OFSAA Cross Country today.
A reminder to the intramural hockey league that games continue next week with the Orange team facing the Green team on Monday and the Blue team facing the Yellow team on Thursday. Please make sure you have paid through school cash online.
Attention Junior Boys Volleyball players. There will be a brief meeting in room 301 at lunch today ahead of our playoff game on Tuesday.
