Clothespin Survivor has 222 students and 30 teachers signed up so far. Grade 9s have 54 signed up, 10s have 53, 11s have 57 & 12s have 58 people signed up so far. You have until Thursday at lunch to sign up. Pins will be handed out on Friday. You can donate to Women’s Place if you are not interested in playing but would still like to be a part of the cause.
The Oddity Film Society is recording its podcast on Joe Carnahan’s survival thriller The Grey after school in room 305.

Congratulations to the cast, ushers, heartbroke hillbillies and culinary crew for the Mystery Dinner - I Do! What a spectacular display of collaboration, improvisation and imagination! We certainly achieved all of our goals - and gave the audience a spectacular time. All we really do need is love - and our message rang loud and clear! Thanks for all of the heart you put into the show. Special thanks to all who attended, as well as Ms. Bosgraaf’s P4 class, Ms. Benson’s P1 drama class, Ms. Cripps and Ms. White for their last minute assistance! Mr. Robertson - you and your culinary team rock!
SPORTS
A huge congratulations to the Sr. Girls Basketball team who competed in the Girls AA OFSAA tournament in Guelph from Wednesday to Saturday. The girls finished the tournament with a 4-1 record, The team began the tournament with a strong win, defeating Thornlea Secondary School 53 to 22. In our next game we took on East Elgin Secondary School. They tested our team resiliency by defeating us 40 to 26. After the tough loss the girls regrouped and came out strong against Bayview Glen Secondary School defeating them 63 to 42. Saturday morning saw us take on the Beatrice-Desloges Catholic Secondary School in the consolation semifinals. The ELC team was ready for the challenge and delivered a 49 to 36 win. In the Consolation Championship game, we took on McKinnon Park Secondary School from Caledonia. It was a close hard-fought battle where we were leading 24 to 22 at halftime. We overpowered McKinnon Park in the second half winning 42 to 31. The coaches would like to thank the girls for their hard work and commitment throughout the season. Reminder that all uniforms need to be returned to Mr. Belding by the end of the week. There will be a team meeting at lunch on Tuesday in room 103.
Attention all Sr. boys interested in trying out for the basketball team, our first tryout is tonight from 4-6 in the large gym. Please see Mr. Petro if you cannot attend.
Attention all senior girls planning on trying out for the volleyball team, the first tryout is tonight after school in the small gym. Please be sure to talk to Mrs Gibson or Ms Kropac if you are unable to attend.
“Rowing makes me feel so powerful, like I can row-tally take on the world” Attention all rowers. Experienced rowers will practice on Monday, Wednesday and Friday after school. Novice rowers will practice on Tuesday and Thursday after school. All are welcome! You never know unless you go. Go blue and gold!

A reminder to the intramural hockey league that the yellow team plays the blue team today and the green team plays the orange team on Thursday.
