Days of Significance:

Bodhi Day (Buddha Enlightenment)- In Japanese Zen, Bodhi day is called “Rohatsu” and is the observance of enlightenment of the historical Buddha. Zen monasteries observe this day with a meditation retreat lasting several days. On the last night of a Rohatsu session, monks and students often sit in meditation until dawn as the Buddha did 25 Centuries ago.

Hanukkah* (Dec 8-15)- The eight day Festival of Lights celebrates the victory of the Maccabees and religious freedom, and the rededication of the Temple in 165 B.C.E. It also celebrates the power of God and the faithfulness of Israel.

Playing shorthanded with only 8 players, the boys came out of the gates strong, leading for most of the first half. Unfortunately, the short bench caught up to the boys in the second half, as the Ridley Tigers took over. Coach Petro and Coach Bleich are extremely proud of the boy's performance and effort all week long.
