TODAY'S NEWS

There will not be a late bus tomorrow after school.

Today during Period 4 our Grade 9 Geography Recycling Team will be coming to your classrooms to pick up your recycling bins.  Please ensure that your ‘blue’ and ‘grey’ bins have been properly sorted, and that your bins are clearly placed outside your classroom or office doors after Period 3 today.  Thank you!

Students council is pleased to announce the winners from the snowflake competition this past Tuesday. In 3rd place was Ms. Wilkinson’s period 3 class. In 2nd place is Mr. Middleton period 3 class and in FIRST PLACE was - Ms. DeSimones Period 3 class! 

Period 1 teachers please count and record the number of students (by grade) who are wearing Holiday OR winter wear - this includes holiday shirts or winter wear - including ski goggles and toques! Teachers if you have a split class - please complete the form sent to staff this morning multiple times! A reminder that tomorrow is PJ day!

Clothespin survivor has just claimed another person to the final …a grade 9 student.

The finale for clothespin will be at the Assembly tomorrow. If the grade 11s and 12s don’t claim a winner then they will do a semi final competition at the Assembly to get them to the final with the two other students in 9 and 10.

CLUBS

E.L.Crossley is offering additional homework help every Tuesday and Thursday in the library from 2:30-4:00 p.m. Come visit Mr. Yando and Ms. Barnes after school today and get some work done! Hope to see you there.


Broadway Culture Club reminder!  Beauty School Dropout and the Rydell High School dance scenes are sure to thrill and amaze you during our viewing of Grease today!  See everyone at lunch in room 204. 


ARTS


Who Dunnit?  Never got a chance to experience  “I DO?”  the Who Dunnit Dinner created by Crossley’s senior drama class?  Enjoy this immersive experience on January 18th from 4:30 to 7:30 - be treated to a Pizza dinner provided by the Culinary Program, and to live music provided by The Heart Broke Hillbillies!  Bring your dancin’ boots!  Maybe you and your friends can figure out - WHO DUNNIT?  What exactly remains to be seen!  Tickets are 25$ and are now available through Cash Online - only 45 tickets left!  (Please leave in for the week!)

Good luck to the Sr. Boys Basketball team who take on Governor Simcoe today after school in large gym. Let’s go Cyclones! 


A very exciting week for girls volleyball. Dominating the courts against St. Jean de Brebeuf and sir Winston.  The season continues after the break. 

Crossley novice rowers are doing an excellent job this winter with their indoor training. Calling on all novice rowers to be there Thursday for the final novice practice ahead of the holiday break for the traditional Candy Cane Challenge. Easy peasy. 4K on the erg and you walk away with a candy cane and your share of seasonal smiles for all the miles you have put in. See you Thursday after school. Keep up the good work. You CANE do this! Go blue and gold.
