Want to be part of the change in culture around mental health? Join our EL Crossley Wellness Club! We’re meeting today at lunch time in student services. Bring your lunch and friend along with you. All are welcome to join!

Hey ELC Students! The ELC Wellness Club and Student Council are working together on an exciting activity. We have some therapy dogs coming to the school before exam week!  It will be on Monday January 15 and Wednesday January 17 during the lunch hour.  Make sure you sign up on the google form and submit your completed consent form to secure your spot. The activity will be held in the room at the back of student services. Please reach out to school social worker Carleen or school nurse Dana with any questions or concerns.

CLUBS

E.L.Crossley is offering additional homework help every Tuesday and Thursday in the library from 2:30-4:00 pm. Come visit Mr. Yando and Ms. Barnes after school tomorrow and get some work done! Hope to see you there.

Crossley for Christ is meeting tomorrow at lunch in room 402. Bring a friend, make a friend, enjoy lunch in community and a short devotional. All are welcome.

The E.L. Crossley Interact Club has been awarded for Best Food Drive of all the Interact clubs in our District. A huge thank you goes out to the entire Crossley community for your generosity and support! Please join Mr. Yando in room 303 for a small celebration today at lunch!  

The DECA business leadership club will be meeting today at lunch in Mr. Middleton’s room 209. 

ARTS

Who Dunnit?  Never got a chance to experience  “I DO?”  The Who Dunnit Dinner created by Crossley’s senior drama class?  Enjoy this immersive experience on January 18th from 4:30 to 7:30 - be treated to a Pizza dinner provided by the Culinary Program, and to live music provided by The Heart Broke Hillbillies!  Bring your dancin’ boots!  Maybe you and your friends can figure out - WHO DUNNIT?  What exactly remains to be seen!  Tickets are $25 and are now available through Cash Online - only 45 tickets left!  (Please leave in for the week!)

Jazz band will be Hip and Happening today at 2:15 in the music room

SPORTS

The Sr. Boys Basketball team will be competing in the Welland Tribune Tournament starting today during period 4. Tickets for today’s buy-in game against Dennis Morris will be sold again at lunch. Tickets will allow you to buy into the game during Period 4. All students MUST attend period 4 for attendance before heading down for the game. Please see Mr. Petro if you have any questions.

Badminton Enthusiasts, it is Wednesday which means from 6-8 pm tonight the gyms will be open to Crossley students wanting to stay sharp prior to upcoming school team tryouts…or just come out for the exercise and joy of play!

Crossley Rowers are reminded that winter training is in full swing. Novice rowers are especially encouraged to get out to practice after the holiday break. Novice practices continue on Tuesday and Thursdays after school and Saturday at the tank. We have some indoor regattas coming up in February- preparation is the key. Keep up the good work and keep it going. Go blue and gold!

This is a reminder to the Junior Boys Volleyball team that the last day to order your custom hoodies will be this Friday. Payment is due ASAP if you plan on ordering. See Mr. Shannon in room 301 with any questions.

Big win last night for the Jr girls volleyball team defeating a tough Eden team. The girls were down in the first set but not out, ultimately winning 2 out of the 3 sets. A very exciting game! Way to go girls. Tomorrow the team plays at home. Come out and support the girls volleyball teams!
