Martin Luther King Jr Day-The day commemorates the leader of the Civil rights movement in the USA. People of all races and religions have benefitted from the sacrifices and accomplishments made by this great man. He was a Nobel prize winner(Peace prize 1964) and a prominent advocate of nonviolent protest. He was assassinated on April 4, 1968.

In intramural hockey action the Yellow team faces the Orange team today and the Blue team faces the Green team on Thursday. This is the last week of hockey until semester 2.
The Varsity Boys Hockey team is reminded of their home game tomorrow against Port Colborne at 1:45pm.
Congratulations to the Sr. Boys basketball team who defeated GFESS 69-55 in the consolation semifinal on Friday night. With the win, the boys advanced to the final on Saturday night against St. Paul. Playing for the fifth straight day, the boys fought hard in the final, ultimately coming up short against St. Paul. Boys, you are reminded of your practice tonight after school at 2:15.
