Mardi Gras-Today is also called Mardi Gras which in French translates to Fat Tuesday, and is officially the day before Ash Wednesday (a Catholic holiday). This day is also commonly referred to as Shrove Tuesday or Pancake Day is celebrated most notably in New Orleans.
Today is the first day of our kindness spirit week. Could period 1 teachers please refer to the email in the staffroom to record the number of students, by grade, who are wearing their grade colour! Grade 9’s are in red, grade 10’s are in yellow, grade 11’s are in green and grade 12’s are in blue! A reminder that tomorrow is pink, red or white day! By dressing up in spirit themes you earn points for your grade in our yearly colour wars competition!
Anyone interested in going to the International Car show in Toronto on February 22 please see Mr. Etten in room 106 if you want to be added to the list. There are about 10 spots remaining, once full, it is closed.

Visit the Pathstone Mental Health website for information on their free services. They have walk-in counseling clinics at the Pen Centre, Seaway Mall, and at the Meridian Centre on Tuesdays.
