Yesterday the Varsity Boys Hockey team took on St. Jean de Brebeuf in a semi-final playoff game.  The boys were looking to avenge their loss at the beginning of the year and came out of the gates strong with a nifty backhand goal.  It was a back and forth affair with neither team scoring two goals in a row throughout the game.  Goals from 3 other students along with outstanding goaltending and the strong plays from the defense core kept the game tied and overtime was looking more and more likely.  With 58 seconds left we fired a one-timer from the slot to give the Cyclones the lead and what looked like the win.  However with 2 seconds left Brebeuf managed to tie the game and force overtime.  The team was resilient and carried the play in overtime. With 47 seconds left we jumped on a loose puck and put the puck in the back of the net to send the team to the Finals for the fourth year in a row.  The team is reminded to check their emails over the next few days.

The Jr girls volleyball team ended their remarkable season yesterday at SOSSA. This season the team played with grit, determination, and heart; working together as a team both on and off the court. We are so proud of all your accomplishments this season and looking forward to amazing volleyball to come. Congratulations on a fantastic season and for always keeping it classy.  Please meet in room 306 right at the beginning of lunch.
