TODAY’S NEWS

Today is the last day for full service at the cafeteria.  Monday and Tuesday of next week will be Continental service only.  Please stop by today and thank Rhonda and the staff for their great service.

If you did not pick up your mid term report card, please come to the main office.

Interested in doing a Military Full Day Co-op with the Canadian Armed Forces? There will be a presentation in the lecture hall. Please see Mr. Marquis to sign up in Room 308. 

Mr. Etten’s transportation class will be hosting a Niagara College Presentation on Tuesday April 30 from 9:30 to 10:45. If you are interested please see Mr. Etten in room 106 to sign up.

Attention all GRADS! Today is the LAST day to complete your yearbook bio! Complete the google form that is found on the grade 12 D2L page ASAP….or set a reminder so you don’t forget. 

Mason Jar Competition Update! Attention all Crossley Students! Please listen closely for this update on the top five leading classes so far in our Mason Jar Challenge. (drum roll) Currently, in 5th place we have Miss Barnes’s class, in 4th place we have Mr Lew’s class, in 3rd place we have Miss White’s fourth floor class, in 2nd place we have Mrs Reutz class, and in 1st place by a difference of $2 we have Mr MacDonald’s class. Excellent work so far to all classes! Remember the Mason Jar game ends next Wednesday so you will have 3 more days to get your class to the top! Winners will be announced Thursday during the morning announcements! The winning class will attend the Rankin Run event free of charge and will be the first class dismissed prior to the run.

Please make sure you purchase your Rankin Run contribution before next Friday on school cash online to ensure you can join us for the Rankin Run during period 2.

Today during Period 4 our Grade 9 Geography Recycling Team will be coming to your classrooms to pick up your recycling bins.  Please ensure that your ‘blue’ and ‘grey’ bins have been properly sorted, and that your bins are placed outside your classroom or office doors after Period 3 today. Thank you!

CLUBS

Calling all Cappies Critics!  We will have a quick meeting at the start of lunch today to discuss voting!  Please come see Mr. Yando and Ms. Bosgraaf in room 303.

Broadway Culture Club Reminder!  Our viewing of The Prom will continue today at lunch in room 302!  All are welcome!

ARTS

A big shoutout to all of the students who submitted work to be displayed at the DSBN “Off The Wall” Arts showcase! A huge congratulations goes out to one of our students for being awarded the “DSBN Arts Council Award”, as well as another student whose paintings won “Best in Show”!!! 

Tons of amazing artwork is on display at the board office for the next month - go check out some of Crossley’s crazy artistic talent! 

Attention all grade 10 and 11 students who are taking instrumental music next year! Please check your email for a message about Music Monday.

Coffeehouse! There will be a brief meeting for those individuals who have signed up in the coffeehouse Monday, April 29, at the beginning of lunch in the music room.
