Let’s talk mental health! “Helping a Friend”
Have you ever been worried about a friend who is struggling with their mental health? Once you’ve noticed that they need some help, there are many ways you can show someone that you care, and that you are there for them. If you know a friend is struggling, here are 5 simple ways you can help:
Be kind (remember, actions speak louder than words)
Just listen
Encourage them to reach out to a trusted adult (you do not need to know all the answers)
Offer to be there with them or help them talk to a family member/trusted adult
Remind them that there is no problem too big or too small when seeking help
